I have joined 4 games so far and I’m using my winnings to continue to bet on myself. I was given $10 just for signing up so my first game was “free”.

I try to do a walking game every round to force me to get my steps in weekly. I joined a hydration game to try and get me to drink more water. I even joined a mindfulness game that encouraged and helped me finish a craft I had set aside and prompted me to give myself a mani-pedi. I’m slowly training myself to fill my own cup while earning cash to do it!

How does it work?

By breaking down big goals into achievable micro-goals, they’re making better health more attainable. We know that an all or nothing approach isn’t realistic. And it’s why so many people get discouraged on their fitness and weight loss journeys. In order for people to successfully stick with a routine, they need the right combination of accountability and support. You could say that’s their secret sauce.

As a WayBetter Member, your support system is made up of talented coaches who share their expertise and cheer you on every step of the way. Plus, as a part of our community, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other people who are starting their journeys too. 

You don’t have to bet money to join a game or “bet” on yourself but I’ve found that when there is money on the line I care more about not “losing” and giving up the cash. So I bet $10 on each game I’ve played. When I win, I get my $10 bet back plus anyone who didn’t complete or win the challenge that also bet money, instead of getting their bet back, it goes into the shared pool to be divided out to those of us who achieved our goals and won the game.

According to the experts after filling out my survey, they feel if I work the program I have the real potential to reach my goal weight by the end of August!

My goal is “win” enough to cover my membership fees and then the rest is bonus income. But the real benefit to this is that I am actually losing weight and building better habits.

* Important to note, double check the length of your challenges. The Walk Your Way to Summer was a 4 week challenge as opposed to the typical 2 week challenges I had been signing up for. I almost lost because the posts for that game were manual.

** I am taking a temporary break (I know my limits) because the next few weeks are going to be crazy busy for me and I don’t want to forget to post or stress about missed posts/uploads. I’ll be back after all of the birthday shenanigans we have coming up.
