WELCOME TO MY CHAOS! I’m Lora, a busy mom to four crazy kids aged 6 – 26. I started blogging on a whim almost 5 years ago in what started out as a documented journey of weight loss at 40 with my 2 toddlers in tow. In November of that year, we discovered we were pregnant (again) and A Squishy Mommy was officially born! I LOVE cheesecake, I’m addicted to Pinterest and I survive almost solely on coffee. Target trips and Amazon Prime helped maintain my sanity prior to the pandemic. Target Drive-up, Amazon Prime, and GrubHub help me stay sane now… Coupons make me more than a little bit happy, I talk too much, and I eat dessert for breakfast (when my kids aren’t looking). And after 3 amazing boys, I was blessed with a little girl. Pinterest is helping me navigate a whole new world of raising a daughter.
Pinterest has also been the inspiration for almost every party I’ve thrown for my little kids. I’m excited to share my ideas here. This is how I found my niche or more like my passion for kid’s parties. I now specialize in epic-yet-simple party planning. I like to take store-bought goodies, like cakes and snacks, and transform them into centerpieces that kids love. I love sharing the pictures from all of my kid’s parties and I’ll continue to show you how pulling off the perfect party is possible on even a shoestring budget.
New Year’s for little ones? No problem! Valentine’s boxes… the good, the bad, and the ugly. Do we ever find the pot of gold on St. Patrick’s Day? The 100th Day of School, Easter baskets and egg hunts, Memorial Day picnics, Last Day of School… from Fourth of July to tackling that summer birthday and the First Day of School all over again.
Follow me as I try to make fun memories for my kids without losing my shit or breaking the bank. It has been a comedy of errors, but I have finally got it down to a science and the kids are having a blast!!!
And I’m finally committing to losing this extra 60 pounds I’ve been lugging around (this time I really mean it). I’m resurrecting this blog to help keep me accountable and to re-establish contact with the outside world. Thanks for stopping by!
